Kizuna

Kizuna is a picture book for all ages. On March 11, 2011, a 9.0 earthquake struck Japan, followed by a tidal wave which destroyed everything in its path. The tragedy brought out the best and worst in ocean and land creatures. Dinosaurs were released from great fissures on the ocean floor caused by the earthquake and washed ashore by the tsunami. Will they find happiness with the abandoned animals of Fukushima? Can the martial art discipline of Dino-Kwon-Do rein in their unruly behavior? Can Oki Doki, a samurai Japanese beetle, save Myrtle Snackle from a vicious venom of migrating tarantulas? Does Goemon, a dreadful fish, continue to pass gas and make everyone more miserable than they already are? And what about Beasley? Can he ever go home again? Kizuna readers will thrill to the adventures found in times of crisis-as well as kindness and wisdom.

Goemon

The sequel to Kizuna, Goemon continues the story of a heroic bottom-feeder trapped in the debris of the Fukushima tsunami and pulled away into the Black Tide. Will he survive? Does Vlad the sea cucumber, although spineless, continue to terrorize everyone at the Monterey Aquarium? Can shrimp on treadmills become a new source of energy? And what about Chowder, the baby sea otter? Can Clemmie, a French bulldog, help him find his mother? Readers will thrill to the excitement and joy of backstage stories set at California's Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Sun Valley

As seen in Publisher's Weekly, this book reflects on the pioneering spirit of America and captures that spirit through its illustrations of architecture and designs. "Edison and Rabjohn show off the extravagant vacation homes of the Idaho resort town's wealthy residents. From its beginnings as a mining boomtown turned sheepherding village, Sun Valley was transformed in the 1930s into an Austrian-style ski resort, and the short history of the town that begins the book is replete with delightful vintage posters. The concept of "roughing it in luxury" is on full display in the architect-designed or renovated houses chosen by art dealer Edison and Rabjohn to represent the Sun Valley 'lifestyle.'"

Sun Valley magazine, in its article on this book, describe homes in Sun Valley as a fascinating mix of rustic mountain living, modern architecture, chateaus, retreats, and extraordinary collections of art and the most beautiful worldly goods.
